Thanks for your good work on this case and resolution. I am very proud of this case handled with professionalism and diligence by you and your team especially based upon ever changing information that was provided to you, the involvement of the courts, bankruptcy, IRS, and even involvement and considerations of the Times standards for good bookkeeping and record keeping, etc. You were able to manage all of these circumstances and complete a settlement that is fair and equitable to both parties. I sincerely appreciate you working on my behalf and will recommend your services anytime we have a need for them in the future.
-John Miller, CFO A nationally branded shoe store client of BBA Law Group had multiple stores within an enclosed mall. All of the mall stores were subject to the same lease form , which had been modified to provide that the landlord could not relocate its flagship store without the prior written consent of the existing tenant.
The landlord executed an early termination of lease with the tenant at the mall and leased the tenant’s space to the tenant’s competitor, the flag store. The mall tenant objected, and BBA Law Group brought an action for specific performance against the landlord and secured a preliminary injunction enjoining the landlord from leasing the space to the flag store.
-Strategic Lease Analysis A borrower on a $12 million loan filed bankruptcy. Because equity had been plentiful and the property values had not yet begun depreciating, the borrower had been able to refinance its debt with the same lender multiple times. However, the borrower no longer desired or needed the underlying real estate, and the lender had been unwilling to participate in a short sale that would have left a portion of the loan balance unpaid.
BBA Law Group successfully negotiated with the lender, secured lender insight as to the future of prices on the property given the impact of the mortgage and securities delinquency rates and dealt with the legal uncertainties in the area. Ultimately, the lender completed a foreclosure sale without seeking to recover the deficiencies or otherwise pursue the borrower. The borrower was able to exit the property and leave the debt behind.

Contact BBA Law Group
Clients may engage with BBA Law Group in a few different ways, depending on their legal needs and the specific details of their situation. The first step for most clients is to reach out to the firm to schedule an initial consultation. During the consultation, potential clients will have the opportunity to meet with an experienced attorney from the firm to discuss their case and get a better idea of the legal services that may be available to them.
The initial consultation process will vary depending on whether the client is meeting with an attorney in person or via telephone.
To schedule an initial consultation, clients can either call the firm via the phone number listed directly below or they can send an email message directly to the appropriate attorney using their individual email addresses. While there may be a waiting period depending on the time of year (e.g., summer is busier for education-lawyering than other times) , the firm is generally pleased to begin speaking with new clients within a few days of their request.
Some of the information clients should have available when they first speak with a lawyer at the firm involves general background information and a basic assessment of their case. The attorney will ask a few questions so that they can explain the situation that has led them to the firm and begin to give that attorney and/or their team an idea of the nature of the problem and how it arose.
Since many cases involve a gathering of documents and evidence, it is a good idea for clients to have access to these items as soon as possible. Whether the case involves plaintiff-side or defense work, every matter almost always involves a fair amount of evidence and documents to review. This may include diplomas, transcripts, report cards, affidavits, invoices, contracts, reports, emails, and photographs.
