I discovered the Internet Scrabble Club about four years ago. Before this I had maybe played one or two games of Scrabble in my life. Since joining the club, I’ve become addicted to Scrabble and with playing on the site. About six months after joining, I became a helper there. Being a helper is: interesting, fun, hard, frustrating, but... for the most part a worthwhile endeavor, well... for me anyway.
I’ve been dabbling in web and graphic design for some time now.
I am currently an aluminum welder for Brenner Tank, LLC
Before becoming a welder, I was in the Automotive Testing field, as a Test Engineer, for about 10 years. At last experience, Ford was highest for safety, followed by DaimlerChrysler, then some Japanese, then GM.
When not crashing cars, selling electronics, or making websites, I repair, build, troubleshoot, etc. computers. Would also like to turn this into a career/business.
Currently, I am working on a venture with my better-half, Jackie. We call it WJV Computer & Web Solutions.
Curious about anything else, simply drop me an e-mail, if not too personal, I’ll reply.
Update!
After many questions on ISC about where the name, PropRod, came from.... here is the story:
I’ve been PropRod since about 1993. While working in an Oil-Change establishment, my co-worker introduced me to dial-up BBSs. We were in the process of signing me up to this wonderous new world of computing, when he asked, ”What do you want your handle to be?”. I asked, “Handle?”. He explained that everyone on these things had ‘handles’ or nicknames... I said, “Ok... Hmmm....”, looked around the shop and after three years of opening hoods at the oil-change place and seeing ‘PropRod’ under 90% of the hoods I opened, that is what I blurted out. “PropRod?” he said, “Yes, PropRod!” - And the rest, as they say, is history...
